What is Op Belonging

Based on the upcoming book Op Belonging by Samuel T. Reddy & Professor Martin Levermore MBE, Op Belonging is about reinventing the Commonwealth Experience in Britain.

Why Commonwealth & Overseas troops?

Why Commonwealth & Overseas troops?

Commonwealth & Overseas personnel and veterans are by default global citizens and most still have strong affiliations to their birth countries and want to solve some of the problems they witness back home.

Our History

Where did we start?

In October 2022, the BBAM festival took place in Southampton. It was an opportunity to showcase UK service personnel from the Commonwealth, with his network Samue, went to partner with the organiser and this when he saw the need for belonging outside the military,

Many locals did not realise that the Armed Forces still have UK personnel from the Commonwealth, many think it was only during WWII. After researching this topic, he realised that not only were foreign and commonwealth personnel veterans underserved but they were not represented at all.

This is when Op Belonging was published in 2024, two years later. Today it is a symbol of integration and service for all those who came to the UK to serve the Crown.

Our Mission

At Leavers to Leaders (LTL) Academy, we develop commonwealth and Overseas veterans to significantly improve their careers so they can impact their birth countries while living in their home countries. We focus on developing them to become more relevant, rigorous, and responsive to global needs by acting locally. As a network, we are linked with a community of over 30,000 people.
